I express myself through painting, through banner compositional representations using solid ground.

3.    Up till now, are there any significant changes in the means you use to express yourself?

Yes, there is a difference of representation of thought and idea 10,15 ago years and now.

I tend to develop, and introduce new media in my works and gradually expand field of thinking to reach a wider range of ideas.

4.    What concerns you in your art ? What are your influences ?

By combining various means of expression – objects and paintings with pop-art colorful

performances, textual word play, tabular board solutions, as well as illustrative images, on several levels reinterprets and criticizes the mechanisms of the images of gender in commercials, media, economy, art…

Artistic elements in some of my works are reflecting the idea that in its base containing

psychological condition of today`s (urban) man, and they representing its psychological

conditions such as: cramp, pain, happiness, pride, vanity… and of course relations that

arising from the mutual (conflict) interaction of the subjects in the “basket”.

5.    Select one of your OLDER pieces of art and describe it to us.

 “Vanity Race” 2012

We’re running, we’re running.. not turning back.

Not looking if we run over someone… passer-by, acquaintance, so called friend maybe, partner. While hurrying and stealing opportunities we lost our offspring, identity. Our own truth. By erasing part of ourselves, we became incomplete letting delusive truth guide us to our goal.Taken over by disintegrated values, wade love, we touched the gutter of life thinkingwe’re on top. Where lie is ahead of the truth, prestige is leading, vanity boost psyche and delusive power. However, the attempt to impose coulisse idea will endure as much as the actuality of the present show. Timeless are only those whose intention is finding the truth or essence of a problem and in most cases they don’t need lavish coulisses for hiding their shallow performance. We're living in a time where spectacles evicted those looking for mechanisms to find relatively solid referent structure, which no matter of the any influence will find a way to be in tune with the contemporary tendency, as opposed to violent and aimless pursuit for unnecessary epithets and glory. Vanity is shown through captured characters in the line. (as association to our own captivity made through the image of false appearance and “word” which price is decreased to minimum), with ember surface and domination of color contrast as association for (reverse reflection of the truth).

Direction/final goal – increasing consciousness of the visitors for their personal identity.

Identity which every independent person carries. Acts are revolt against superficial semblance and reality, character similarities, copying upraised ideal towards particular person. Copying which unfortunately is not averted in visual arts either.

Hristina Zafirovska has finished secondary art school at the department applied art and graduated in painting and graphic design at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University "Ss. Cyril and Methodius" in Skopje.

 About your artwork in LHI-LNA

What was your inspiration for your art piece during the 10day program ?

The natural beauty of the mountains, vegetation, rocks, waterfalls and mineral water of Loutra.

How would you describe the process of the making of your piece ? In which way is your piece connected to Almopia ?

My work itself precepts and merges the natural beauty of the mountains, vegetation, rocks, waterfalls and mineral water of Loutra, creating a wholeness in terms of the offered incentive including the processes of transformation and details that occur in nature. The completed work is a vision that goes beyond reality, it transcends the aesthetic act, which is a projection based on strong internal impulse. Deeply experiencing and establishing strong connection with the values of nature and nature itself I am transferring them to canvas which came as a kind of a storm of emotions, a turmoil, volcanic mass, shown by the contrast of color and the multitude of details that create the whole, the form and rhythms are coupled with the idea based on the concept of momentum.

Your artwork is going to be exposed in the digital exhibition. What do you expect from the digital exhibition? What reaction do you hope to develop with the public?

Still do not know. We will see the reactions after publishing the works and the purpose of the project.

Do you think that art can be a way for promoting local development ?

Art is the promotion of every segment of society. The most important is the segment-how will be promoted?
